About KD

Born in the Big Woods of St. Cloud, Minnesota, KD Mathews has often drawn inspiration from the refreshing beauty of nature. Creative passions have always guided the adventurist life of this designer, artist, and cabinetmaker. Art has allowed a lifelong calming influence with medicinal benefits and a creative voice to often unspeakable events. For these reasons, KD is currently studying studio arts with a focus on art therapy at Tidewater Community College and psychology at Old Dominion University.

It’s this artist’s hope that they might give back to their fellow veterans as a licensed art therapist at the VA Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia.
